[#097]-Clayton&Melissa, Russellville wedding.

Melissa knew without a doubt she wanted to marry Clayton.

She gave me that impression right off the bat, from talking with her over the phone. Although slightly not a fan of the idea of a formal, elaborate wedding day, she¬†conceded¬†to his yearnings for a day for the two of them to celebrate with all their closest. And that’s what it was: simple, laid back, fun with a lot of laughs [Melissa has one of the most awesomely contagious laughs I've ever been around] and easy going conversation.

The dress:

The rings:

The bouquet: [Boomer Sooner colors, of course] Melissa’s originally from Oklahoma and her whole family is all about Sooner pride.

I had a few minutes with Clayton after he arrived and Melissa was finishing up.

I think one of my favorite aspects of my job is the opportunity to learn about a variety of walks of life. I learned quite a bit about the Marines from this dude. [Like the importance of cover/no cover]

A very sweet and smile worthy first look:

As I’d walked outside with Clayton, he noticed her sister’s VW Bug and excitedly said “Yes! A slugbug!” I inquired and he told me they’ve had a long running slugbug competition between the two of them and he was bound and determined to win after he finally saw her. In fact, he did get the first slug…but I gave her a little bit of an opportunity on camera to get him back.

Games aside, it was time for her to walk down the aisle.

Afterwards, quite the crowd stopped to congratulate them.

…On their way to the reception:

Once I saw her dad’s tie, this was something I had to grab.

After the visiting, eating, and laughing was had, they all wished them well….paper filled poppers and all.
